Sorrel Adams, RMT

Sorrel’s interest in massage therapy came from a fascination with the science behind it and the complexities of the human body. She has received her Bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University, U.S. National Certification in Massage Therapy through Washington State, and is licensed as a Registered Massage Therapist in BC.

She graduated from the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, where she had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of conditions at numerous outreaches including GF Strong, Burns and Plastics unit at VGH, Royal City Manor, Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion, Canuck Place, South Granville Seniors Centre, as well as Pre-natal, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, Cerebral Palsy, Chronic Fatigue and Scleroderma in-reaches.

Coming from a strong health science background, orthopedic assessment and evidenced-based practice are important to Sorrel. But more importantly she believes in taking a proactive approach to health, and helping patients take their health in their own hands. Sorrel is currently the Co-Clinic Manager at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, where she also works as a Clinical Practicum Instructor.
