Mitchell Santaga, RMT

Mitchell graduated from the 2500 hour full-time program at The Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. His treatments focus on being therapeutically specific for each person, ranging from light Swedish techniques to deep myofascial and trigger point therapy. Mitchell’s ability to quickly assess and problem solve an individual’s unique needs set him apart from other therapists. He believes that although we are all made up from the same carbon-based material, everyone perceives pain and becomes injured in such diverse ways that it is important to listen to a person’s needs and concerns from treatment to treatment.

Since he was young Mitchell has been involved in many sports such as lacrosse, baseball, table tennis, and stand-up paddleboarding. Participating at a competitive level he’s had to deal with his own injuries and pain. Manual therapies like massage and chiropractic continue to help him achieve his athletic goals. He is still an avid paddler doing both stand-up paddleboarding and outrigger paddling.

Mitchell is keenly interested in modern research findings for manual therapy and pain management. He plans to create his own research projects to advance the understanding and effectiveness of massage therapy and looks forward to learning more advanced and specialized techniques.
