Wendy Chen, RMT

Growing up as a musician and artist, Wendy always knew she would be working with her hands. With music and art as hobbies, she found her passion in massagetherapy and believes that massage is a form of self care which prepares the mind and body to achieve a higher goal both physically and psychologically.

She graduated from the 2500 hour full-time program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in Spring 2017 and since then has been providing massage services on a mobile basis and at local events such as Pitt Meadow Track Days. Her comforting and powerful touch gives massages that are simultaneouslyrelaxing and therapeutic. She incorporates traditional Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular techniques and active and passive stretching throughout her treatment to effectively achieve patients' goals. Her caring personality enables her to utilize light to deep pressure based on individual patients' needs.

She has interests in neuroscience research in terms of the relationship between
the human body and pain perception. As there is still a lot more to learn about
the human body, Wendy is looking forward to continue her studies, broaden her
knowledge and further develop and improve her techniques.
Outside of the clinic, she might be seen at local craft markets, restaurants and
cafes and various new music festivals where she performs with her fellow
Gamelan members.
