Rachael Curtis rcc

Registered Clinical Counsellor

Rachael holds a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She is dedicated to continued learning through workshops, certifications, reading, and professional collaboration.

As a queer person, a disaffiliate of evangelicalism, a career shifter, and a survivor of childhood trauma, Rachael brings deep empathy and lived experience to her practice. She understands the fear, grief, and confusion that can accompany personal growth—and the healing power of self-understanding and compassion.

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and self-compassion work inspired by Kristin Neff. She also integrates attachment theory, inner child work, ACT, and Emotion-Focused Therapy to support clients in a grounded, collaborative, and non-judgmental way.

Rachael believes healing happens in relationship. Whether through quiet reflection, shared laughter, or emotional processing, she offers a safe space for clients to explore challenges, build confidence, and move toward more authentic, fulfilling ways of being.

Outside the therapy room, Rachael enjoys hiking, playing tennis, traveling with her partner, camping, spending time with friends—and relaxing at home with her Calico cat, Chloe, and watching crime dramas.

*Note: Rachael offers counselling for individuals, couples, and families (adults 19+).
